Our line of shackles are selected to exceed the breaking strength of the Whip Stop and Hobble Restraint products to ensure that they can withstand the forces of a hose failure event.
A safety restraint system is only as strong as it’s weakest link. Never restrain a hose safety product using inferior or unproven components.
See below for recommendations for Hobble Clamp and Whip Stop shackle sizing.

Shackle sizes for Hobble Clamps:
Use 3/8" through size -150, 1/2" sizes 196 - 450 Single Eye, 3/4" sizes 196 - 450 Double Eye + 500 and larger (either single or double eyed versions).
Whip Stop Restraint Systems: Default to above when using with a hobble clamp.
For systems that are shackled directly to one another: Use 5/16 shackle up to 14-20MM, 3/8 shackle 20-30 to 40-50MM, 1/2 shackle 50-60MM to 100-120MM, 3/4 shackle for 120-140 and larger.
